A commission begins with a conversation — about scale, palette, subject, and the room the piece is intended for — which is then matched with an artist from our roster whose style and process are the right fit for what you have in mind. From there, you work directly through our team with the artist across a structured process: an initial concept or sketch to confirm direction, progress updates as the piece develops, and the opportunity to give feedback before the work is finalized. Every commission is an original, one-of-a-kind piece — never reproduced or offered as an edition — created entirely for you and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity confirming its status as a unique work. Because our artists work under names chosen to protect their privacy, commissions offer collectors a rare kind of access: the ability to collaborate directly on a piece from an artist who otherwise keeps their practice private. Whether the goal is a large-scale statement piece for a specific wall, a work built around a personal reference or memory, or simply a piece in a scale and palette that doesn't exist in the current collection, a commission is the most considered way to bring a truly singular piece of art into a home or space.
