Frankie Malone is a contemporary artist whose paintings transform the familiar rituals of everyday life into bold, quietly expressive compositions. Working predominantly with still life, she is drawn to the objects that gather naturally around us — teapots, cups, fruit, folded cloths, ceramics and glassware — finding beauty in things that might otherwise pass unnoticed.
For Frankie, a still life is less about faithfully recording an object and more about capturing the atmosphere surrounding it: the remains of breakfast, an afternoon cup of tea, fruit left on the kitchen table or the particular way sunlight changes the colour of a room.
